';Downtown Tunica';

During an October 2008 stay in Tunica, I drove to downtown Tunica while my husband was in a poker tournament. It certainy was not what the Tunica Visitors website described. Although the town square was cute and had pretty fall flowers and pumpkin decorations, I found very few shops for tourists and I think I was the only tourist walking around. One shop I stopped in had a few jars of jelly (made locally) marked for $6 each. When I picked one up, the clerk hollered that it was half price. I think that was because it looked old and dusty and she wanted to make a sale. I was throughly disappointed in the lack of shops and guess I won%26#39;t go back again unless there has been some big renovations since.

Has anyone else shopped the town square of Tunica?? I am going in June with a girlfriend and don%26#39;t know if we should waste our time going there. I did enjoy the outlet mall close to the casinos and would go there again.
