We are planning a big road trip (Los Angeles to Florida, and back). I am hoping for some help on the return portion. We will be driving from Bradenton, Florida to Dallas, Texas. We need to be in Dallas for an evening (to visit Trader Vic%26#39;s). We would like to drive no more then six hours a day. We will have stayed in New Orleans on our way to Flordia.
Could anyone suggest two places to stop for the night along the way? We like picturesque little towns and local food.

I think that we will stay the second night in Natchez. I would like to find some where that would be fun to stop between Bradenton and Natchez. Maybe I should post this question in the Florida forum...

You stay stay along the Orange Beach (Gulf Shores area) or Biloxi...both are east of NOLA.

If you are traveling on I20, I would suggest Vicksburg. We love Diamond Jacks (casino/hotel). There is a lot to see in Vicksburg and some really good places to eat. Feel free to look at my contributions for suggestions or send me a PM.
