I heard from some people in Biloxi, that the new casino is being delayed, and reduced. Has anybody heard anything about the trouble its having?

The national economic slow down and credit crunch has apparently taken its toll on this project. I visited last week, and everything was at a standstill. Believe that Harrah%26#39;s have downsized somewhat, but nothing is evident. Still appears that this will be a great project still scheduled to open in 2010.

A dealer at The Beau told me they pulled the plug on it. When we drove by there was no equipment there at all. The cranes are there, but probably because the cost to remove them, and maybe there are no other big jobs to move them to.
Ohhhh that%26#39;s so disappointing on so many levels. :(
Holts Biloxi%26#39;s growth...meaning less visitors and less revenue for the city. Loss of work for construction workers and all the other folks needed to build the casino.
Do you think the extreme makeover home edition would take on this as a special project to help the city with a little help from the Jimmy Buffet fund?
AIRTRAN is going to end service to the Gulfport Airport in January!
