Things To Do...Restaurants

Hello all; We will be arriving in Jackson this upcoming Friday evening October 24, staying two nights, for a soccer tournament. Our first game is at the godforsaken time of 7:30a.m. (means be on field by 7:00a.m., means wake up at 5:30a.m. on a Saturday, no less), the second game isn%26#39;t until 4:30p.m. So, we will have a window of time there in which we could do other things; just not that familiar with Jackson. Also, recommendations for good restaurants would be appreciated; even sports bar types (gotta see that Arkansas Ole%26#39; Miss game). We are staying at Hampton Inn North at 465 Briarwood Drive if that helps. Any information and/or recommendations would be appreciates.

Things To Do...Restaurants

Assuming you don%26#39;t want to venture too far away from the fields...

A couple exite (I-55) North is County Line Road with shopping convenience. There is a nice mall with all the typical stuff and your usual chain restaurants, Old Navy, Target. Academy, etc. in the outparcels.

Plenty to choose from in the area.

If you want a list of stores, go to

www.visitridgeland.com, and click on shopping.

OR, go a couple exits South, to Lakeland. Here you can visit the Museum of Natural History, the MS Agriculture %26amp; Forestry Museum, and LeFleur%26#39;s Bluff State Park.

At least that can get you started.

Have fun, and good luck in your tournament.
