Hey Roadhogs....I usually enter two destinations in Map Quest to get a general idea of a route then start my research from that initial info.

I hope you can click on this link since I just entered Las Vegas to Orlando for you, and you can see by the map that you have a great and wonderful driving experience waiting for you.

As promised heres our current route.

Its not written in stone and as ever we are open to any suggestions you may have.

DEC

3 LAS VEGAS

4 LAS VEGAS

5 LAS VEGAS

6 LAS VEGAS

7 LAS VEGAS

(Wile in vegas we are doing

a couple of shows, the hoover dam

and are staying at SAMS TOWN)

8 GRAND CANYON

9 PHEONIX

10

11

12 SAN ANTONIO

13 AUSTIN / HOUSTON

14 NEW ORLEANS

15

16 PENSACOLA

17 PANAMA CITY

18 ORLANDO

We have purposefully left a few days free here and there as the last thing you want on a holiday is to be tied to a strict timetable if we are having a great time we could even put our arrival date in Orlando back a few days.We dont plan on booking any Hotels on Route in advance as that will give us the chance to WING IT as us crazy brits like to say.

Sams town is provisionally booked for the 5 nights to give us a base in vegas and we have a townhouse on Regal Palms Waiting for us in Orlando.

I will post this on each of the states we will be passing through as there dosent seem to be one forum for the whole of the US.

Cheers

Roadhogs

What will be your route through MS? I-10 or will you enter the state further north?

Sorry, missed your last post. Obviously, looks like you will be driving I-10. With that being the case, you won%26#39;t spend long in MS, as that is really a short span of Highway...and so many landmarks on the Coast are gone after Katrina.

It is a short distance off I-10 to visit Waveland %26amp; Bay St. Louis, the heart of the destruction (and I do not mean that in a voyeuristic fashion, but what Katrina wrought, and what the locals can relate to you when having a meal in a local diner down there, is something to appreciate - a true force of nature).
