Would like to spend Dec. 30-Jan. 2 in Biloxi. Casino hotels are, of course, charging 2-3+ times what we payed for a room this summer. Are the Hampton, Best Western or others decent? Any others that are fairly close to the casinos? Thanks for your help.
Non-casino hotels
There are several chain places along I 10 exits 50 and 46. Only short drive to casino row along beach road. Walmart and Lowes located at exit 46. Just about every other motel along beach has not been rebuilt since storm...not much choice there. All prices will be inflated for this time frame. To make matters worse...you have much of the Sugar Bowl crowd (Jan 1) from New Orleans that inhabit the area for this weekend...normally a roudy and obnoxious bunch of merrymakers wearing their team colors. You will find no peace and quiet anywhere!
Non-casino hotels
This past week, I thought I saw a Marriott either in Biloxi or Gulfport on Beach Blvd. (Hwy. 90). It looked nice enough.
