Baton Rouge to Natchez for day trip?

Hi,

We are flying into Baton Rouge Thursday spending the day and was wondering if driving up to Natchez for a day trip is doable. (we could spend one night)Our destination is the New Orleans Jazz Festival starting Sunday for 6 days but wanted to see some of the homes along the Mississippi and sites outside of N.O.. Will be many years before we come back and since we are down there for 10 days we want to take in the history/culture.

Any thoughts or suggestions. I have read the Things to do on this website but would like some personal feedback.

Baton Rouge to Natchez for day trip?

It is very doable, we are only about an hour and a half from Baton Rouge and about 3 1/2 hours (with Baton Rouge traffic) from New Orleans. It sounds like you guys will have a fun trip.
