Hotel for one night

We may be coming threw here on the way to Flordia in June or July. I will need to rooms since there is 8 of us. We do not need anywhere fancy just some place really safe to stay. ive never been to the area so i am clueless!

My dh and I really like Diamond Jacks in Vicksburg. I don%26#39;t know what the Friday, Saturday rates are but, if you are there Sun-Thurs, the rates are very reasonable. The rooms are bright and cheerful. It is a casino and therefore there is plenty of security. It is about 2 blocks north of I20 on Washington.

If all you want is safe, and no tourist attractions, then I would say the casinos are a good bet if you can get the rate.

They are mostly at exit 1A along the River.

At exit 4 is a Hampton Inn near the entrance to the National Military Park. There is also something else there...eithr a Holiday Inn Express or Comfort Suites? Anyway, exit 4 (Clay Street.) A couple new ones on East Clay are OK if they are on the West side of the road, but those on the East side of the road are questionable.

Also I would personally avoid the ones at exit 1C (Pemberton Blvd.)
