riverboat cruise

can anyone give me any information on mississippi riverboat cruises. I can%26#39;t get any info from the travel sites.

riverboat cruise

I believe that there might be a riverboat cruise (1-2 hours)that departs from Memphis. I know that there is a short riverboat cruise from Tunica,Ms. There is also one in New Orleans. There probably are others also---check the tourist guide from whatever city you are interested in.

Hope this helps.

thank you very much i will try your suggestions.

If the Riverboat cruises out of New Orleans are the ones that used to be called the Delta Queen Steamboat Co. then the Majestic Line, unfortunately they no longer operate :(

Momc71,

The Delta queen %26amp; overnight cruises are no longer offered; that is true.

It depends on a) what city you are interested in a cruise out of, and b) did you mean a vacation cruise, or a tour cruise (2 hour type thing.)

If it is a vacation you are looking for, it is possible you can hire a private charter to take you a stretch.

If a sightseeing tour, those are available in Natchez, Vicksburg and Memphis.

Look at:

www.steamboatnatchez.com

www.memphisriverboats.com

*ALSO, FYI...check out the Chattanooga, TN forum and a thread titled ';Delta Queen';. the Delta Queen has been docked in Chattanooga and converted into a hotel.

Have fun,

Miller

Thanks Miller for the follow-up to my message...my friend worked on the American Queen but quit prior to the company being sold, so I forgot about the docked hotel!

The cruises (and DQ line) were the best vacations (in my opinion) and way to really enjoy the USA!!!
