Beau Rivage

How nice is the Beau Rivage?

How close is the Hard Rock?

What is in walking distance?

Is it right on the beach?

How long of a drive is it to New Orleans?

Is it a nice drive?

Beau Rivage

Very nice. The nicest on the Mississippi Gulf coast.

Next door. A short 5-10 minute walk.

Yes, on the beach.

It is about an hour from New Orleans via I-10 to I-110 in Biloxi. Longer if you want to take the Hwy 90 scenic route. Drive was much nicer before Katrina, mostly empty lots now.

Beau Rivage

Beau and Hard Rock together. IP just down road...there is a local shuttle to all casinos. Everything is on the water with a beach area. Area is not real Gulf of Mexico with ocean waves...barrier islands eliminate waves and surf in this area. Need to go to the other side of Mobile Bay to see real Gulf and surf. About 100 miles to NO downtown. Borrowing ride along I-10...trees and swamp until you get to Slidell,LA area. Taking US 90 West was quite intersting until Katrina wiped everything out. Whole towns just disappeared. Not worth the drive now. NO is a great visit. Also has a Harrah%26#39;s casino right downtown.

The Beau Rivage is without a doubt the best hotel and casino in the area. Great rooms, restaurants and the comps are great if you gamble. It is a five minute walk to the Hard Rock out the front door and to the right. The only thing missing is coffee pots in the rooms (same as Vegas MGM properties)and that is in your best interest if you ever saw how they clean them.

Valet Parking tip .... do not go to the main entrance as it takes quite a while to get your car, enter the main parking garage and then follow the signs to Valet Parking, it is called the West Valet lot. You will get your car in a few minutes and save quite a bit of time. Join the players club and use the card when gambling.

Good luck and enjoy the trip. We are heading back in February for our sixth trip. We used to go to Vegas three times a year but all we do is gamble and eat and the Beau is very similar to the Bellagio without the strip.

Good luck and enjoy your stay!

Tex, I%26#39;m a groupie of the Beau too.....as many times as I have been there, I learned something new from you. Didn%26#39;t realize that about the valet in the garage area...have to try that sometime.

Although, I usually avoid waiting for the valet by just parking my own car as close as I can get to the elevators or the walk path to the elevators. It%26#39;s easier for me to just find my own car when I want it in the convenient garage rather than waiting for someone to fetch it for me. Although, I may decide to splurge one day...lol.

Judy

no need to splurge a tip does the trick, the parking is free.
